Corporate Recognition

The Religious Freedom & Business Foundation* will recognize the companies listed below with the Dare to Overcome Award in a ceremony on May 23, 2023, at the landmark Museum of the Bible in Washington DC for their work in countering religion-related discrimination and bias by having faith-based Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). This recognition is in support of U.S. Government efforts to counter antisemitism, Islamophobia, and related forms of discrimination and bias against religious communities in the U.S. including anti-Christian, anti-Sikh, anti-Hindu, and other anti-religious as well as anti-atheism sentiment.

The Second Gentleman of the United States, Doug Emhoff, is an invited speaker. The Dare to Overcome Awards are a part of the 4th annual National Faith@Work ERG conference.

Background

Faith-and-belief ERGs are a practical way that companies across America are building cultures of mutual respect and allyship. These ERGs promote understanding and dialogue among diverse religion and belief communities within the workplace. This positive force also spills out into and impacts the communities these companies serve as their ERGs are a model of civility and respect.

ERGs are recognized as an effective way to combat antisemitism and related forms of discrimination and bias by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), the American Jewish Committee (AJC), and the Global Lead for Google’s Inter Belief Network ERG.
