Corporate Diversity Index [being piloted]

In 2016, the Religious Freedom & Business Foundation issued the Freedom of Religion or Belief (FoRB) Pledge (the Pledge), and called on companies and global corporations to sign on. The Pledge includes four components, all of which are aligned with Article 18 of the United Nations’ Universal Declaration of Human Rights; that Declaration states:

“Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance.”

Tanenbaum and the Religious Freedom & Business Foundation are currently piloting a Corporate Diversity Index (CDI) in which we offer strategies and ideas for taking this vision and putting it into action. We believe that these strategies are among the better practices for meeting the Pledge and establishing a company aligned with freedom of religion or belief, and a workplace respectful of religious diversity and inclusion.
