About Love in Lights: Love In Lights is devoted to providing villages lacking electricity with the appropriate technology to improve the quality of life of families around the world. Further, it strengthens the competencies of the beneficiaries through implementing income-generating projects and character education programs. Our project is designed to develop sustainable communities in which residents and the environment live in harmony, and community members work together to achieve common goals.

Mr. Jeyul MUN, CEO of Unam International Inc., is a signatory of the Corporate Pledge on Freedom of Religion or Belief. Mr. Mun is working to have 30 Korean CEOs sign and implement the Pledge. He is a board member and active supporter of Love in Lights, an interfaith NGO bringing solar lighting to impoverished regions in Cambodia, the Philippines, Columbia, Kenya, Mongolia and Indonesia.

Bio

Mr. Jeyul Mun (文濟栗) was born on March 1, 1956, in Jindo, Jeollanam Province, Korea. In 1979 he graduated from Chosun University, and in 1982 received an honorable discharge from the army. From October 2012 to the present he is Director of Bohyun Constructions Inc. And from September 2013 to the present he is CEO of Unam International Inc. From 2013 to the present he is Director of Light of Love (NGO). In addition, Mr. Mun is quite active in the Daesun Jinrihoe religious movement which has as one of its key principles, “relieving grudge and living together.”

In 1984 Mr. Mun joined the Yuhju Headquarters of Jongdan Daesun Jinrihoe (a Korean new religious movement). In August 1989 he was a lecturer at the Yuhju Headquarters of Jongdan Daesun Jinrihoe. Since June 1991 to the present he is a senior director of Jongdan Daesun Jinrihoe. From March 1999 to April 2003 Mr. Mun was Head of Secretariat of the Daesun Jinrihoe Foundation. From December 1999 to June 2005 he was vice chairman of the Joint Council for Jongdan Daesun Jinrihoe. From March 2011 to the present he is Head of the Review Committee of Jongdan Daesun Jinrihoe. From August 2012 to the present he is Director of the Medical Foundation Daejin.

Mr. Mun is a board member and active supporter of Love in Lights, an interfaith NGO that is upgrading living environment around the world by providing solar charged lanterns, street lights, and generators. It also helps students to have vision and dream for their future and to enhance their values of life through character education, literacy education, and job education. Finally, Love in Lights helps village people to develop self-reliance ability through income increasing projects such as chicken farm, organic fertilizer, etc. Love in Lights continually strives to have a rich balance of religious backgrounds as beneficiaries of their programs, including working with Buddhists in Cambodia, Catholics in the Philippines and Columbia, Anglicans in Kenya, Tibet Buddhism in Mongolia, and Muslims in Indonesia.
