About dōTERRA: Founded in 2008, doTERRA was built on the mission of sharing therapeutic-grade essential oils with the world. Having seen for themselves the incredible benefits that can be had from using these precious resources, a group of health-care and business professionals set out to make this mission a reality. They formed a company and named it doTERRA, a Latin derivative meaning “Gift of the Earth.”

Bio

David Stirling is a founding executive and the CEO and chairman of doTERRA. Under his visionary leadership, doTERRA has grown from a fledgling startup to the world’s largest essential oil company with more than $1.5 billion in annual sales. With nearly three decades of management and executive experience across a variety of industries, David finds his greatest satisfaction in growing individuals and in growing companies. Since doTERRA’s inception, David has been steadfast in his commitment to bring essential oils to every home in the world. In this endeavor, he oversees the company’s exponential growth in Europe, Latin America, Korea and Japan. In addition to setting the strategic direction for doTERRA, and implementing and maintaining company culture, David directs the company’s IT and technology processes, web development, distributor tools, and a member services workforce of more than 1,000 employees. David and his wife Lorea have nine children. David holds both a bachelor’s degree and an MBA in business, and he was recently honored as the first-ever recipient of the Distinguished Entrepreneur Award from the David Eccles School of Business.
