With the whole team, for example, American Airlines launched record-setting direct flights between New York and New Delhi – daring to overcome the challenges to keep the world connected.
And a daily demonstration of her and American Airlines’ commitment to care for one another on life’s journey is her executive sponsorship of American Airlines’ Christian Employee Business Resource Group (EBRG) and supporting the company’s faith-based and Abilities EBRGs’ partnership with the Religious Freedom & Business Foundation’s Dare to Overcome allyship initiative happening in 2022 in Washington DC and then onwards to India in 2023!

About the Award
The 2022 Award will be given on the evening May 24, 2022, at Dare to Overcome, the Religious Freedom & Business Foundation’s annual allyship conference and business for peace symposium.
The Global Business & Intercultural Peace Awards have been given in tandem with the Paralympic Games as part of former UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon’s UN Global Compact Business for Peace initiative in Rio de Janeiro (2016), Seoul (2018) and Tokyo (2021). In 2022 they will be given in Washington DC and then move onward to New Delhi in 2023 in tandem with the G20 Meetings hosted by India.
In 2021, the Awards were held in Tokyo in August and were keynoted by former Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama. Awardees included the CEOs of Intel and Tyson Foods, both Fortune 100 companies. Previous CEO recipients come from companies as diverse as Ernst & Young, Hyundai, Kimberly Clark, and Berkshire Capital, and countries including Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Israel, Italy, Japan, Lebanon, Mozambique, Myanmar, Netherlands, the Palestinian territories, South Korea, UAE, Uganda, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Biography
As CCO at American Airlines, Alison is responsible for the strategic development and execution of their customer initiatives, leading an amazing team of more than 6,000 globally. The mantra at American Airlines is “caring for our customers on life’s Journey.” Her team consists of Sales, Distribution, Marketing, Product Development, Digital, Customer Experience and Innovation, Reservations and Advantage Customer Service. Alison also serves as the Christian EBRG Executive Sponsor. Her passion and enthusiasm for our customers and coworker is infectious.
Alison leads an incredible team of 6,000 + globally focused on caring for our customer on life’s journey. Responsible for the strategy development and execution of American Airlines’ customer initiatives, she also leads the amazing teams of Sales, Distribution, Marketing, Product Development, Digital, Customer Experience & Innovation, Reservations and Advantage Loyalty Customer Service.
By building strategic relationships with corporate and group customers, travel management companies, online travel agencies, and travel partners, Alison’s team drives revenue for the world’s largest airline. Alison also leads the airline’s distribution strategy, ensuring American Airlines offers value-added booking options across all channels customers utilize to access the airline’s products and services. Her team continues to develop industry-leading distribution capabilities and pioneer new business models to meet corporate and agency needs; this includes managing relationships with Global Distribution Systems, metasearch engines, online travel agencies, and the company’s data commercialization efforts.
Prior to her time at American Airlines, Alison worked at Starwood Hotels Resorts for 25+ years – Most recent at Global HQ in Stamford, Connecticut in the Global Sales leader role and prior to that in six countries across the Asia-Pacific region in varying leadership roles both on property and in AP HQ.
